Sorry to revive an old thread, but was wondering, hiven I have a read heasted screen can I not wire a new heated front screen to the existing rear screen heating switch and have them both on the same switch? I cannot right now think of why I would need them to be independent?

on a serious note, with a 300 tdi, when driving through a hot spain this summer, all I could get was warm air on cold... driving back through france in September at night with heater on full heat, most I got was a faint dechilling... and a smell of wet dog... so any hint of a solution to this...

I agree re electronics that can go wrong and cost a fortune, but a tracker gives piece of mind and is pretty simple. There are loads of places to hide a tracker without carpets or lining that can get good signal - within seats, dashboard, lights, vents, bumpers, spare tyres, accessories, etc...

1000 miles and nearly 24 hours later elastic band bodge still in place! thanks for everyone’s help, spring will be replaced properly shortly. Did try and secure bands under one of those screws but could not make them budge with the screwdrivers available!
