    Have you tried pulling the webing strap with a pair of pliers - when i first got mine the same happend and i assume due to a lack of use the machanism was a bit stiff pulling the webing fixed the issue

    Mine had exactly the same issue it was a hair line crack in the top plate of the air bag very near where the air line goes in, was only found out by immersing in water and flexing really hard in all directions - Air would come out but only if flexed in a certain way

    When mine snapped i managed to ty-rap it back together lasted a couple of months till i could be arsed to change it By the way if you get a new arm it will need to be calibrated onto the car using special blocks!

    You don't say if its a Manual or Auto makes a big difference to the MPG 30MPG for a manual but very unlikely for a auto
