Hi Everyone my names Lewis from north Devon.

I am a gardener and after months of searching for a d2 commercial I managed to find one.

After many years of driving my l200 classic I decided to look for something which can comfortably tow 3500kg, iv always liked the disco td5s

Anyhow its a non ace model but has the air on the back, when I press the button for it to rise it beeps 3 times and doesn't go up.. and when I lock the car the horn beeps once although all doors locked.

With the interior lights in the middle position they don't come on when the doors are open.


Can anyone shed some light to how serious of a problem this is?

Your opinions would be much appreciated

Thank you for your input! I took the plug off and put a bit of wire between the connecters to make the circuit but didn't work still beeps :(
 
The beep happens to indicate that something isn't closed when you're locking the vehicle. Or more correctly, it thinks that something isn't closed. Can't tell you what though.
 
had similar issues with mine.
re the suspension. all doors need to be closed. sometimes I leave the drivers window open and just lean in and push the button. I`ve also wired a `led` into the compressor circuit so that I can see when its working, or not.
re interior light. on mine water had got into a multi pin plug and corroded an electrical pin behind a kick panel in the passengers footwell. from memory it was a purple/white wire. I just ran a bypass and it works fine now.

yes... due to a door switch(which is integrated in the latch assy) or a wiring issue the BCU "thinks" a door is open...that's why you get the misslock and the suspension doesnt work. To identify on which circuit it is leave the windows open lock the car with key(not fob, or with fob if you dont have volumetric sensors fitted)...then open the driver's door through the window... if the alarm doesnt go off it means that the bad contact is in the door switch or it's circuit...if the alarm goes off it means the bad switch/contact is somewhere on the other doors or taildoor...due to the fact that the other doors and taildoor are on the same circuit measurements are to be done at the BCU input to see which door causes it...it becomes more complicated for a gardener i think:)
