I replaced the linear with 3mm chequer plate. I used the same holes to rivet it in and used tiger seal. Ten years later it is still going strong.

It's the 20 amp glass fuse. Purple wire I think.

Mine fixes to the bulkhead. I made an extension with a plug/socket to allow the clocks to be removed without unsecrewing the earth from the bulkhead.

Have you tried a spare connector? I had a crack in one a few years ago that took me ages to find.

Mine were a proper pain in the arse to locate as they were on the inner wing next to the headlamp. I've since extended the earth and located it in a more obvious locatio. I had to pull the wiring away from the headlamp to locate the earth.

Had similar a few years ago. It was the earth on the inner wing that was corroded.

I had one on the back door - check my storage thread - but it rattled like £#@&, so I took it off. Currently using a cheap table I found at the tip! I keep looking at the likes of eazi awn or similar but I can't justify £200-250 on a table albeit great quality.

Drive into the emission zone, you'll find out quickly if it isn't a CSW! As a friend did that came to visit us when we lived in lundinium. He received an extra Christmas present!

One of my doors did exactly the same. Three years later the paint is starting to flake on it. I don't know why because it is exactly the same as the rest of the parts. Not much help Mick, sorry. But I do symphathise.
