I want to make a fold down table for the rear door of my defender.

Not mine but it is a saved pin on pinterest.com from when I was looking at the whole camper conversion for my Rusty.

Now had this been in AG I could have posted just the meme for that LOLZ but techy freds require decorum or decorating or sumfin like that hehehe......

But a question.....

Is that the wheel of a sidecar in the background???

I don't have a picture of mine but imagine a badly cut piece of chequer plate on hinges. Does the job. Flat dog do a very cool looking one but its bare dollar

A fold up portable table from go out doors takes less effort, is very probbably cheaper and offers more options.

I had one on the back door - check my storage thread - but it rattled like £#@&, so I took it off. Currently using a cheap table I found at the tip! I keep looking at the likes of eazi awn or similar but I can't justify £200-250 on a table albeit great quality.

Does it need to be more complex than a bit of plywood on hinges? Use para cord or similar to hold it in place when open, and put a pad of foam or something in each corner to prevent rattles. A catch of some kind, or simply a bolt, as you are going to have a 10 or 13mm spanner in the car...
