I understand that copper grease is used when replacing disk pads - but where is it applied ?
Also is there a household detergent that I can use to clean new disks ?

Ok thanks !! So the intake manifold comes away revealing the valley gasket ? I also notice the accelerator cable etc on top - can this come away with intake manifold ? Also where is the best point to drain the coolant - am guessing at the bottom of the radiator ?

Just wandering what the minimum lifting capacity of a trolley jack I should use whilst propping up my disco 2 V8 ?
Manual says car is 2.25 tonnes so will a two tonne jack be good enough just so I can get it on axle stands ?

Ok, so i've got a few jobs on my 02 disco V8 one of which is rocker cover gaskets and intake gasket.
I don't mind getting oily, but was wandering how technical the job is ? It looks easy enough but is there anything I should be looking out for or doing when I tackle this job ?

Just wandering what performance gains are available for the 4.0 V8 (2002 disco)
I know about exhausts, airfilters, de-cats, remapping etc butb what about the camshaft and or head work ?

I'm sure if my problem extended to poor condition pipe work I'd do the same, but as its only the actuator and a couple of bushes I'll keep for the mo :-)
With the upcoming work on my rocker cover gaskets I was wandering if it would be wise to replace the head gaskets on my V8 ? The car has covered 116k miles and doesn't overheat, but there is nothing in the history to say otherwise :-/
Oh yeah, do I need any special tools to take it off ? I've looked at the rave info and looks pretty straight forward ?? I've found a seller on eBay selling new actuators for around £80 - there is a second hand one, but I think a new one is best :-)

Carrying on from my previous thread, if I were to replace my worn out front ACE actuator with a new, does the ACE system need to be bled, and is this done by a dealer or specialist ?

I've got a leak from the front actuator which can be replaced and restore the system but I beleive if it's pipe work probs it's a case of replacing the pipe work as a whole or scrapping the ace system and going for a standard anti roll bar set up which is a lot less £££ :-(
