Hi everyone, just had the ace light pop up. Had a look around and iv got a small hole in the flexi pipe on the rear. Is there anything you could recommend as a diy fix?
Cheers
Dave
Hello again, very urgent - - - please
I have now sealed the ace leak on the block the best I can.I began to refill the reservoir but as the oil reached the top it would go no further! Obviously there is air in the system.Besides having to take the fan belt off to get to the pump, is there an easier way to bleed the system? I would take it for a short drive but the RED light comes on immediately together with the warning tone! Any help much appreciated!
Is there an easier way to bleed the ace system other than having to take the drive belt off?
He asked if there was a way of bleeding the system WITHOUT removing the fan belt.no need for tester, undo partially the outlet banjo on the pump and turn the pump by hand untill you see fluid there that's VERY important, then tighten it back and start the engine, if it's primed you'll see the fluid circulating in the tank, if it's steady undo the bolt again asnd insist...when the fluid is well circulating in the tank go for a harsh ride with lots of cornering at as high speed as you can to be safe... top up te fluid after every mile...it will bleed itself this way... check the level periodically untill it's steady cos it might take a while depends on how much the ACE will activate the rear actuator... go to some surface where flexing is involved that will help things...just make sure the fluid is always circulating in the tank tjat's the most important otherwise you can kill the pump...this pump priming thing is compulsory even if you use the tester but the tester will do exacly what the system does when it works in the field if you see what i mean
Very urgent!!! 199 TD5. Hi! After monthsand months of leaking ace Problems i.e Leaking block and pipes. I have now received the Kit for replacing this bloody System.I have found a mechanic here in Germany who will try to sort this out for me but!!! Where can I find clear instructions as to what must be done? I have look almost very were but cannot find the help I need! I would have scrapped it except for the fact that last year I replaced the engine with a new one!
