Cheers Rick, got 2 independant specialists close by, hopefully can get her started and to one of them for a check up, they should have diagnostic gear im guessing? Any do's/dont's for when Mr AA attempts to start her up?

A,m probably going to get AA out to get me home (hopefully get me started at work so I can drive home), are there anythings I/he shouldnt do? Is it OK charging RR from hid van or battery pack? New to this guys :mad:

Guys Had my TD6 for year and a half now, no probs starting for over a year, last year had a new battery fitted asthe old one went flat after a 2 week holiday, and i thoguht treat her to a new top of the range one from online. Car only does short trips, 5 days a week, start at 5am, 2 miles ot...

And is there only one size TDV8, or are there different engine sizes?

Just wondering really, would a 3.6 TDV8 engine fit in my Td6 and would it be an easy conversion to do?

sorry to jump in guys but am wondering the same, i know getting the later bmw unit for the boot of the car improves the satnav to a newer version, is this the unit you're talking about? Will it improve the tv image, and by how much?

Bemble/guys Is this part number for the radiator (PCC000850) the same for the L322 TD6 as well?

Are there any brake upgrades worth doing to the L322? I'm due to replace pads at some point shortly and if theres anytihng worth doing, i will while she's up in the air. Are there any aftermarket discs/pads that are an improvement over the oem stuff?

Cheers people Bemble, the engine was revving freely, too freely almost (as it obviously didnt have any resistance), we managed to get her to reverse up a slight incline to park her in a proper space, would this not of been possible had the trans died completely? Spoke to a Autobox specialist...

john, not sure when you mean did i check the level? when i bought it or yesterday when she died on me? been reading on a bmw forums as its the same box, just find it hard to believe low oil could cause complete loss of drive? (although i would jump for joy if that is all it is)

Forgot to ask, could something as simple as a low oil level cause it to shutdown like that?
