Makes no difference if you had 1 wheel locked, 6 wheels locked or caterpillar tracks locked. Ice is ice and if the mass is heavy enough that the 'grip' can't hold out to gravity then it's going to slide.

Yes it can be done with a certain amount of faffing about , so I've read as I've not done this mod myself. You could of course fit one designed specifically for the D2.

When selecting through the hi/lo range the autobox shifter should be in neutral whilst stationary or travelling (easier) at sub 5mph. So , from 'D' go to 'N' , then shift the range lever to the desired position with a slight pause at its neutral position and then re-select a 'drive' position again.

There is no need to go into neutral on the TB to select Diff Lock on the D2, only for high and low range.

I feel this thread has run it's course. You seem determined to buy it despite what you have read from those that actually OWN and have EXPERIENCE with LRs. If I were you I'd just cough up and buy it but make sure the seller will throw some humble pie in for free.
