    Freelander 2 (LR2) Speaker rattle

my front near side door speaker seems to rattle, especially when listening to loud music. Moving the balance to the right cures it. Any body experienced this before, any tips. I will probably take the door card off at the weekend and have a look. Thanks.

Disco 2 Fan / viscous coupling query?!

When my one went, it was shredding the fan belt slightly, and it could be heard slightly on tick over with engine lid open. I was not able to wobble it when fitted to the car, but with the coupling off, with fan blade still fitted, I put it in a vice and was clearly able to see and feel a slight...

Disco 2 Fan / viscous coupling query?!

Makes sense to me, if it's just the blade and the bearing in the fan coupling is fine, then why change it, should save a few quid.

Also, and forgive me for talking out of turn, but I take it you have a NATO hitch on the back of your vehicle?

    Rapier Missile trailer

You should ask on the 101 forum, someone their should know. I used to be in a Rapier Regiment, but can't remember for sure. The Detachment had 3 vehicles, 2 x 101 to pull the launcher and radar tracker, then a 3/4 ton L/R (series 3 in the old days) to pull the 1 ton MST that you have bought.

Stripped a thread - Any ideas?

They were designed to hold aircraft together, so yup, should hold well.

    300tdi aux belt

Maybe they mean it's not the belt for the air conditioning. Rimmer brothers tend to have a good selection.

    Disco 1 300tdi indicators won't stop

It might have something to do with the inertia crash sensor. I have had mine come on when I hit a big lump off roading. When it activates, the central locking is supposed to operate as well. Turning ignition off, then back on is supposed to cure it though. Anyway, just a thought.

Disco 2 Urgent anti roll bar link help please

Bit difficult to photo, the D2 anti roll bar seems to have hydrolics on one side, so when you line up one side to fit a drop link, the other side will not mate up to fit the other drop link. The instinct is to pull the dar down, but the pressure in the hydrolics stops this. I imagine we have to...

    Debris in tyre!!!

Yes it is, I thought it was a 9mm pistol case at first so thought I would get away with it, but as I started to pull it out I discovered it was a 5.56 rifle case. I have worked on Army bases for 29yrs, but never known anyone pick up a spent cartridge in a tyre.
