Hi,

Thought I'd ask on here if anyone knows how best to solve the noise issue I get on my roof rack when going over 50 mph. I got the roof rack custom made by MCB4x4 (see pic) and it make a god awful noise.

What do you expect with that lot bolted on? Handels water music. May be better if you had fitted a six foot whistle on the roof.

Keeping in mind its custom made, take it back and say you are not happy with it.. As soon as you went custom you lost all the protection with a registered product. I have a Hannibal rack and I have to be honest and say I get no additional noise from it... What is the noise ? It is probably your lights vibrating perhaps ?

Got mine from MCB4x4 same as yours, but no noise issue. I removed the name plate from the front because he welded on upside down, don,t know if that is the issue on yours. as ER1C says, could be the lights.

Lights have only just been fitted, it made a noise when they were not not on. I'm guessing it was the name plate to be fair so will wrap it in something and see the noise goes, if so I'll cut it off!

It's a loud humming noise, lights have only just gone on and i've not driven it since!

A bonnet spoiler may disturb the airflow enough to rid the noise.
