Hi folks. Won this trailer on ebay. Guy now tells me tyres are shot. Was cheap enough so happy to go with it. Can anyone tell me if they are standard lr rims? I have two 1996 130 rims with good tyres here which i could swap for the run back.

You should ask on the 101 forum, someone their should know. I used to be in a Rapier Regiment, but can't remember for sure. The Detachment had 3 vehicles, 2 x 101 to pull the launcher and radar tracker, then a 3/4 ton L/R (series 3 in the old days) to pull the 1 ton MST that you have bought.

Also, and forgive me for talking out of turn, but I take it you have a NATO hitch on the back of your vehicle?

Knine. All good :) got a nato on a dixon bate adjustable. Mg mal, wolf rims, are they the same fitment as a 130 axle. Sorry to sound dumb. He didnt tell me tyres were shot. Im hoping to fit disco rims when i get back once i have a chance to play to drop the height a bit. Have a pair of 130 rims, just yo get it home.

Same as on my 2003 130 defender and all Mil spec "Wolf " land rovers.

Rapier if standard will have imperial type thread on the studs, so you will have to use the reversable nuts it has to collect it.
So with mine having Wolf rims on 235/85/16's fitted with no issues, you should be fine with a pair of standard landy rims and tyres to get it home using original nuts.

Pic of my Rapier just before I sold it. For ease of swopping stuff over, I fitted Zeus extra length studs and defender nuts.

No problem with a 90, towing weight is the same as a 110 and the Rapier trailer is well under 3500kg laden if I remember correctly.
