It will leak out,but if you are quick you can have the new pipe ready to tighten onto the thread to minimise oil loss.

Had a tickover low rpm & noisey problem when cold. Changed injectors & filters (174k) problem resolved. Although hazardous due to fuel pressure,can you slacken the union to each fuel injector in turn to see if the noise stops... (See Haynes manual) 1994 300tdi

After 400 miles I am adding 1/2 litre of coolant to the header tank. The head gasket & radiator were replaced at 100 thou now at 180k. Cant see any leaks from the hoses.

Is that spend a penny onto the tensioner??? If so I think i'll go for the bearing solution.

Had a squeaking from the front of engine last year so changed the water pump. Squeaking has returned & is constant. Replaced all belts/tensioners & cleaned pullies 2 years ago. Alternator on it's way out? (Red light goes out within 5 secs of starting) Disco 300 tdi 180k

When you top up the coolant remove the plastic inspection cap & fill slowly...

Glows plugs approx £5.00 for four from paddocks...

Noticed the swivel housings were pitted during a service at the weekend. It's filled with grease. Do I need to change them asap or can I wait until the lighter nights... No major leaks at the moment. Also paddocks do the service kit,is the swivel housing listed as a Defender part.

Find the leaking pipe first... Undo the bottom drain hose. Change damaged pipe;undo jubilee clips. Pipes from LR supermarket,paddocks or rimmer brothers. Replace bottom hose. Refill with anti freeze 50% approx 1 gallon slowly via header tank. Remove plastic cap at top of engine will help...

Get some 4mm pipe from a local car spares shop. Sold by the metre for £1 or 2

changed the water pump,the impeller was rubbing the inside of the casting, then the budgie 'flew away'

The hoses are at the back of the engine...

Try paddocks... it for the 300tdi.

Either anneal old washers or preferably buy new ones, they are only pennies... I had the same situation about 6 weeks ago. (See similar thread)

Hi Blanking plug,bracket bolt or bolt to hold callliper together... One of these perhaps.

Hallo again The annulus faces upwards towards the injector. Use a screwdriver to locate the washer into the injector 'bore' & check with a torch before fitting injector. Regards

Hi In answer to your last question the copper washer has an 'annulus' (raised) portion on one side,so may not seal if up side down. Regards SashTony
