Ah right, I think mine is one wire with no joints and it comes down the transmission tunnel above the gearbox etc, someone might have put a joint in there at some point.

If they're De carbon shocks they'll most likely be Britpart springs, by all accounts springs are one thing Britpart sell that are OK. Are they yellow or orange? Look yellow to me!

They did fit the BMW 2.5l in line 6 to some Defenders in South Africa IIRC, not in 89 though! Might be an interesting 90 you have there, I second the request for a pic! For the leak you'll have to get it all up to temp and start looking, I'd check the bottom of the pump anyway and all the pipes...

I bought a set of Challenger wheels with Grabber AT2's off them and they came balanced and ready to fit.

Should be easy enough as the standard pipe heads that way before it enters the rear box. If you do put it out the off side how will you give bad cyclists the cloud treatment?

It might give the values a blip upwards but I think they'll then just keep creeping up. I'm after a classic Mini at the moment and they did the same thing

Checked the plate today and it is a Valeo, AFAIK they are an OK brand so it must have been one of those things

I didn't think to check the make, I'll have a look next time I'm over there as the knackered clutch is still there. There was life left in the friction plate so it looks like poor quality rivets - I suspect I might be able to guess the make of it!

Gearbox is out and it was the rivets that went in the friction plate: Action shot! We had to jack it up this high to get the box out from under it: Rear main oil seal is good: The offending article: Off to Speak tomorrow with a shopping list as the thrust bearing was shot...
