Any ideas where this plug is meant to go to and whether there is an extention wire to the loom?

It looks like the diff lock switch, have a look down between the output to the front prop and the input from the gear box, there are two little spade connectors sticking up. One will be connected to the top right bolt on the breather cover (I can see the wire is on that bolt) if the other has nothing on it it'll be that wire.

If not - I dunno

I've got the switch plugs on, I'm just not sure where that one wire goes to as it's not long enough to reach the loom so I assume there was an extension?

Ah right, I think mine is one wire with no joints and it comes down the transmission tunnel above the gearbox etc, someone might have put a joint in there at some point.
