Ive just the standard TD5 90, no chip/remap and on a recent holiday to the west coast of scotland I averaged 29mpg with hannibal rack and snorkel fitted........well chuffed :)
If you arrive in Dumfries during working hours there is a cracking 4 x 4 shop down on the front at the river. Its called 252 offroad, theres always a few defenders parked outside and are a friendly bunch.
Hi, Im looking for some stainless steel bolts for the rear crossmember, its the 10 bolts that go along the back just above the rear crossmember, spaced out in pairs......whats the correct name for them just so I order the right ones?
cheers
Sorted.......the to connectors within the bulb holder were touching..........cleaned the corrosion out of the plug on the wiring harness with a safety pin...now working fine.
Just been out again lookin at it. managed to get the light to work but it makes the high level brake light come on!!! Coul this be corrosion in the plug on the wiring harness that causes this?
I didnt, it plugs directly into a socket on the wiring...Im thinking that this socket may be the problem with corrosion inside it on the plugs and that I will have to replace the wiring harness.
Ive not checked the fuse as the other rear stop lights are working.....Im assuming they are all on...
I noticed my rear offside stop lamp was out so set about changing the bulb when I found a lot of water inside the lamp which had corroded the bulb holder. I got a new bulb holder and bulb form my local LR Dealer, only to find it still didnt work when fitted:mad: A mate tested the wiring harness...
sure is...........quite enjoyed myself though Im needing to get some decent tools....good advice about the plastic bag.....pity I didnt read it yesterday!!!
