Ok, it may not count as "long" to those of you who drive your landys to Africa and back... but it's long to me!

Got me G reg 110 last October, as a work vehicle (self employed). Since then I have done roughly 8000 miles driving for work, so never more than 30-40 miles from home. Next week I plan to drive from home in Gloucestershire up to Dumfries, nearly 300 miles and then back again.

As I've put a few miles on the truck, I'm fairly confident it will make it OK. However, is there anything I should do to prepare it for the journey? Going to change the engine oil at the weekend, just because it's nearly time anyway... clutch slave cylinder has just been done, and had new steering drop arm.

cheers,
Joe

Just do all normal checks, air, water, oil etc, Ask Buster if he needs anything picking up, he lives up there ;);), make a flask, don't worry about it.
Be careful I hear it's full of Jocks in that there Scotlandshire :eek::eek:;)

cheers, forgot to say if anyone needs anything taking up/bringing back let me know, I might put something up in the courier section...

If you arrive in Dumfries during working hours there is a cracking 4 x 4 shop down on the front at the river. Its called 252 offroad, theres always a few defenders parked outside and are a friendly bunch.

Wouldn't mind some Haggis and the Mrs says she'll do Busters washing if you can bring that back too! :D

Happy to post you some Andy - Haggis travels well, and the stuff from our village butcher is great with a Sunday fry up!

As for Buster's undies - your on your own with those mate:D:D
