Has any one out there got one of the DPT chips fitted to a 90 td5, i have done the search but trying to find if any one has this type fitted and how they are getting on with it
I am getting 28/29 mpg with this fitted and a kenlow fan, can i do better or is this my limit and this is before i start raggin it over fields and stuff !!

Not DPT,but I have an autologic software upgrade and am getting similar mpg, but with bags (technical term) more torque.

Ive just the standard TD5 90, no chip/remap and on a recent holiday to the west coast of scotland I averaged 29mpg with hannibal rack and snorkel fitted........well chuffed :)

I have managed to get a shade over 30's, but that requires judicious use of the right foot when joining roundabouts and when on slip roads, which I find difficult :D. The ability to shock other road users is just too tempting ;).

Towing isn't a problem but I do find I do have to change my driving style. Without a trailer, I tend to keep my revs quite low (except when I'm in para. 1 mood). However with the trailer (1 tonne plus), I've found it's important to keep the revs higher so the turbo is doing its job. The major difference being 4th gear is used for longer.
