Being a 24/7 Ops centre with a requirement to occupy back up facilities at a moments notice, we complained to our bosses that the Focus wasnt really up to Wilts/Hants roads when floods and snow hit after last years (09-10) snowfall and crap weather. Management didnt really listen until this winters weather bit too. Those of us with 4x4's did a fair amount of driving taking colleagues to work from home so the off-going shift were relieved after 12 hours. Give them their due, management quickly hired a Defender for 2 weeks over the Xmas hols.
So I was a bit taken aback (nay gobsmacked) to hear today that we are to get a Defender 110 on 60 plate next week to replace the Focus! As most of us are ex Forces we are happy with the driving of 4x4's (though last ones many of them touched were 90 N/A's) and so looking forward to getting this motor.
Ok the question, have there been any issues that we should look out for with the latest model Defender? Bits sticking, breaking, too fragile, prone to dropping off etc. Any search I do brings up older models.....
Cheers for any info
