Sometimes but not always. With the nuts slackened, If it does come out it'll strip the rest of the thread and fly out into the bonnet. I've seen 'em come out like a missile before. My way is safer and always works.

check the lock box in the boot floor, these fill up with water and will cause condensation on the windows, usual cause is the tail door seal leaking. Tail door seal are on back order and have been for months.

    TD4 injectors

I would check the low side fuel pressure and do a leak off test on the injectors before replacing anything. Never take a "mechanics" advise, hows he going to know without checking anything?

    Continuing problems Freelander 2!

Its not the pump thats at fault, its the reservior. Theres a filter inside that blocks and cause poor fluid flow through the system. Your dealer should know this as there is a bulliten for it. The pump failed due to lack of lubrication and replacing this alone will only be a temporary fix and...

    P38 overheating but why?

Take the spark plugs out and check them for signs of a washed look. If theres a fault internally then 1 plug will be clean while the others will be a tan colour, make sure you do this after the engine has been warmed up properly then allowed to cool. If you do this after starting from cold all...

    Red Warning light when accelerating

check the wire to the handbrake switch and make sure its not trapped, you'll need to take out the rear part of the center console to see. If the fluid level is ok and the level switch isn't broken then it can only be a fault with the hand brake switch or wiring, I've seen a few times electric...

    V8 Sound

you could buy two lengths of pipe and two cherry bombs for way less than that and have a better nose. I have a range rover powered ford cortina with chery bombs on it and it sounds like a yank muscle car from the 60's

    Fitting Spotlamp Pod Kit

Front fog lamps are only factory fit on some facelift models and the switch for these will be next to the hazzard switch, the wiring for the fogs only may be there. Spots were never fitted from the factory on any model. Pre facelift models wont have any wiring.
