    Trim removal tool...

I got a full set of fancy trim removal things, still snapped bits of plastic on the A pillar, they glued back together alright though. But they work reasonably well on the plastic plugs, probably cheaper and a lot less hassle to just buy some spare plugs(?) though off ebay.

    What clutch kit ?

I put a borg and beck one in just over a year ago, clutch wasn't actually knackered but I bust the clutch fork and thought since I was paying for all that labour I may as well replace the clutch while they were in there. So if you're putting a clutch in maybe put a heavy duty clutch fork in...

    Land Rover induced paranoia.

In my first year or so of having one it seemed like everything and anything that had gone wrong was a "common fault" to the point that common fault had become a bit of a joke. My last common fault was busting a hole in the clutch fork but that was over a year ago and the only issue I've had...

need help p38 stuck in Sheffield

So if you put some wireless cctv on your range rover then that's a very effective way to stop it from being stolen? :D

    2.5 dse starting problem

The cold really takes it toll on the battery, I know mine is a bit older but I did everything new bosch plugs, new battery, stopped using bio everything. Sometimes trying to start it would drain the battery so much it had no chance of starting but with a jump (embarrassingly off a daewoo matiz...

    Lesson Learned - Deliveries

Thought I found another door about an hour away but it was gone already. I think I might just be keeping the scar to remind me of that time I couldn't get the handbrake on as it rolled down the drive. Or just pretend I did it off-roading.

    Another classic bobtail for WLM...

Interesting idea, maybe I should just stick metal plates over the bits I don't like on mine

    Lesson Learned - Deliveries

It was £40 for the door and £30 delivery I reckoned this was much cheaper than getting a door or an outer skin and having it sprayed. So if anyone happens to have a drivers door and a front wing off a 98 Discovery with the side mouldings and preferably in paint code 624 (Cobar blue metallic)...

    Lesson Learned - Deliveries

I should say I phoned them immediately and because I had signed I had to contact the seller and I've spoken to him three times on the phone in half an hour and emailed the photos which he has forwarded to TNT. Keeping in mind that it can turn a bit nasty when having people accept blame I asked...

    Lesson Learned - Deliveries

I feel bad for the seller because the damage to the packaging and the damage to the door lines up so it's vegas odds likely that TNT did it. I don't think "can you sign this" constitutes a valid agreement when they really mean can you check and verify that you are satisfied with the condition...

    Lesson Learned - Deliveries

I found a drivers door on ebay the other night that was the right colour and a direct replacement for mine, brilliant I thought, £70 delivered. The door went a TNT guy with one of those handheld things, sign this he said then he went to get my door. He sat it inside the front door of the...

    Easier cold starting

List of things I've tried over the last couple of years....... New bosch glow plugs, new battery, foot down on the clutch and accelerator (owners manual says to do this anyway), boiling water over the fuel filter (especially when using bio). And finally bought a charger the other day from...

Deciding whether to keep it or not

What's going for mine is that it runs really well the only complaint is it still doesn't like cold mornings, almost spent a fortune on a red top battery last week then realised I should maybe just buy a charger to keep the battery topped up when it's really cold and that sorted that. Best £14 I...
