Crank Position Sensor is / has shorted out ... Probs due to "Warming" up when Cold Electrical Contacts are OK when it "Warms up" Contact is broken & Engine Dies Ect ... Had A 4.2 Jag XJ6 with EXACTLY the same problem ...........New CPS GOOD AS NEW!!!!!!!!!!

Tek it out get it WELDED TOGETHER (same as we used to do with Ford Transits!!) Refit ..PROBLEM GONE !!!!! Gemme 1/2 hr I'll find the DEFINATIVE Link fer ya on the Transit site....

Tommo ..They all have a "Reverse Charge Di-ode" ..so you don't Drain yer battery when its dark So Leave it connected 24/7 mate

Solar chargers over 5 watts (and occasionally the actual 5 watt) need a solar controller to manage the output, and stop overcharging. If its UNDER 5 Watts then NO it WILL NOT overcharge yer battery

it IS the Aspheric Fan Motor kickin in ...The Aspheric Fan "Samples" the Air Temp within the cabin to "Judge" how hot to set the Heaters ect ect... You'll also find it runs on AFTER you switch off & lock up (for about 3 Minutes) then it "Sleeps" until you unlock & kicks in to (as I said) set...

Could be the reverse Solenoid has Popped .. Not a Major job to fix but a real BASTID to get at ... But you could also try Changing your tramsmission oil and filter ASAP. After you change it run for a couple of weeks then change oil again. No need to do filter. It would seem you have a sticking...
