Hi all you battery clamp owning P38 owners, I wonder if someone could assist...

My P38 is missing it's battery clamp in it's entirety and for some reason it has been proving difficult to obtain a complete replacement (partly aided by it not being very high up my to do list).

There seem to be a few of them for sale on ebay, but they are only ever the metal strap part. I need the threaded rod as well.

This week, I received a reply from a strap only selling vendor on ebay that the threaded rod part is part of the wheelarch and therefore can't be supplied seperately to the car.

Can someone please tell me they're talking rubbish...? I assumed it just hooked into the bottom of the battery box.

Better still, has anyone got a complete assembly going spare?
