To finish this off gaskets were replaced and grommets. Managed to do without take if the wiring and box for the coil packs off. Tricky but do able. All ok and running fine

The bottom of the passenger side bank is wet all along. Will change the gommets as well while I’m there. Anything else worth looking at while I’m doing this

Thanks for the info, I need to disconnect mine as my system has the injectors in the valley basically and the piping over the top of the covers stops me from pulling them off.

Thank you but LCU has been checked and nothing was wrong with it and the battery output is also with in tolerance.

2002 4.4 v8. Problem started with the car when turned off noticed that the rear brake lights were on. went back to car and could not get in on the fob and then the key would not turn. eventually got this diagnosed as a faulty solenoid behind the ignition barrel. A week later and all was well...

Did L322 V8 last year. Very cheap and easy to do Bought the wife a new overcoat and gave her the spare set of keys. Now she’s always lovely and warm when I jump in. That’s the car the wife’s always bloody cold !!!

My wife was only saying yesterday you look lost as I was tinkering in the garage with time on my hands and then it struck me my L322 is in at the Indy garage being repaired :D:D:D

Ok an end to this thread. Went to the car next morning after neg terminal off all night and managed the 1 shot start only to find battery dead. AA arrived charged battery but now key won’t engage in barrel and brake lights still on. Ask for lift recovery and guy arrives with one set of skids...
