Ok an end to this thread. Went to the car next morning after neg terminal off all night and managed the 1 shot start only to find battery dead. AA arrived charged battery but now key won’t engage in barrel and brake lights still on. Ask for lift recovery and guy arrives with one set of skids only. He’s told to %%ss off and so I decide to try 1 more time and key works and fires up. Reinsert brake light fuse and drive straight to Indy garage. Car was put on diagnostics and found that a electrical fault had developed behind the barrel causing the issue. £ 50 part and fixed. Apparently the brake lights on were due to this sending a signal to the rear brake lights. Canbus I guess. Car is now called Christine and I want it gone and a newer supercharged sport but am told by her in doors that there too Essex and I am not having one.:(:(

At least that issue is now reaolved.
I had a 7 series BMW , many years ago, that I named Christine. 3 major failings , any of which could have had serious results for myself, and anyone else on road, got her the name. My Dad was so convinced she was trying to kill me, he gave me his car until I got another
