    Head off down to B&Q - get a MM for £20.00 quid or so. Or Maplins. Then buy some reels of cable so you can test earths from one end of the vehicle to the other. Some spare banana plugs may be useful too. Oh, and some spare crocodile clips too.

    They should do. However you have a 26 year old 90 - use the manual indicator off thing. I put a buzzer on my indicators as what with the engine and other noise - could not tell if they were on or not. Good luck

    has anyone repaired a heated rear window track?

    I came up with just replacing the window as I had so many broken "tracks" - the silver stuff (conductive paint) couldn't keep up It was about £45 for a window. But I replaced the seals and fixings too - much happier now. Just poorer Ah well.

    Well, there are loads of pulleys above & the copper stuff in the (bit with the rag hanging out) looks like alternator to me. However.... What is the engine / year / model should help???

    Not if the above was the original issue. Earth mixed up with power should pop a fuse !BANG! Or cause a minor nuclear explosion :-) Hope for the former
