It is likely to have been the wastegate seized or miss adjusted if the turbo over boosts the ecu will cut the fuel generates a horrible kangaroo effect especially noticeable in 3rd 4th and 5th under hard acceleration going up hills etc.

When is the misfire ? I thought I had a misfire under load in 3rd and fourth Turned out to be a seized wastegate and it was over boosting so cutting fuel

NCT is done in an Irish govt run test centre not in a garage like England

Check your turbo wastegate is working correctly as that will cause it to kangaroo under hard acceleration
