Are you talking about the tilting using the controls or the automatic mirror dip when you put it in reverse? The latter seems to be a common issue that I too want to fix!
Sounds similar to me with the Fedex man from ordering lots from Island 4x4.
Why don't you tell us what you've done so far to try and fix it?
I also assume the dash is showing the correct numbers and letterswhen you move the H-gate from P to 1?
Things to check:
Transfer box ECU under passenger seat, open it up and check for burning. (Page 586 of the RAVE workshop...
I assume he's fixed it since he posted this in July.
But I'm in County Durham and have Lynx diagnostics, haven't tried it on any other cars so I'm not sure if its locked or anything but I'd like to at some point!
I just phoned a Land Rover dealer today to get a price for one since I haven't replaced mine yet, and it's £278 now inc. vat
Also, I had a look at the frequencies and found
So a one from anywhere apart from America looks like it will work.
When I replaced my brake pipes it was pretty simple just route the pipe the same as the old one starting from the back, no need to drop the tank, no need to lift the body (other than to extended in EAS to make it easier to get under).
Are you checking using diagnostics?
My diagnostics shows it in the range of 0-1 but probing the pins directly at the ECU does show the correct 0-5V response.
Actually you set them not to dip by putting the gearbox into reverse with the ignition on but the engine not started and hold the memory set button. The message centre will then say "MIRROR DIP OFF", same procedure to turn it on.
But your way accomplishes the same thing :p
There is no alarm sensor in the dashboard, if you're on about the thing next to the flashing red light that's a sensor to detect the level of the sun to adjust the fan speed for the air conditioning.
