What did you do with your Range Rover today

Bought it earlier anyway and picked it up. All fitted now and looks much better.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Thanks, I've been looking for one and yes that £39 seems pretty good value compared to what I was looking at before. If you have time and don't mind any chance of a pic of the lights in the dark? I just want to see how blue the light is.

Would you mind giving me a link to where you got the HID kit? I've been looking to get one. Are you getting bulb failure messages after installing it?

    p38 throttle open

I didn't think there was a temperature sensor next to the starter motor? There's the coolant temperature sensor in front of the plenum, the intake air temperature sensor in the air box and the fuel temperature sensor on the fuel rail. Only thing I can think of down by the starter motor would be...

    EAS Harsh Ride

Calibrated it and made sure the tyre pressures were 100% and theres a definite improvement in the ride.

    EAS Harsh Ride

Ok thanks everyone. I'll still give the calibration a go anyway! The old shocks were leaking which is why I replaced them.

    EAS Harsh Ride

Hi all, The ride in my P38 feels pretty bad on anything but the smoothest of roads. I understand it's not going to be brilliant but the way some members seem to praise the ride of it must mean I have something wrong with mine. I've changed the shocks with new terrafirma ones from Island 4x4 (I...

    Throttle assembly question

Mine does idle at 700 nicely but when put into drive/reverse it drops to around 600 and stays there with no moving around. Is that normal?

aux input on p38 HK system (all said it wasnt poss)

It's worked fine for me (and I imagine those that have actually followed it correctly) for ages now. I use it pretty much every day with no adverse affects.

    Intake Air Temperature Sensor

While having a look at the faults on my HEVAC I was looking at the live data for the engine and noticed my intake air temperature sensor was reading 30 degrees. I left the car to cool down to check the sensor when cold and it was reading 26 degrees. My car is a 1995 4.0 with a GEMS ECU. I've...

    After a 4 week wait....I now own a P38

If you have the dipstick then obviously use that to refill. If not then you fill it at the plug on the gearbox until it starts to dribble out then start the engine, run through all the gears and fill again until the correct level. The correct method of checking is with the gearbox cold, start...

    Srs

I've seen two cars do it. As rasheed said its not on and off more of a brighter and dimmer where one light is constantly on and another flashes on and off.

    Srs

The pulsing is due to the airbag light having two bulbs in case one breaks. It should be pulsing constantly so that's something you should have a look at.

    Blend motor issue quick fix?

If I remember correctly Saint.V8 did this exact thing at one point when owning his P38. Heres the thread: Forcing passenger side blend motors to hot In reality it's easier just to fix it while your there.

    Anyone understand LPG?

Had a quick look at Egas stuff but couldn't find any price for the ECU (chances are though it will be something else). Your best bet is to contact them although they might have different types. The kit I bought to replace all the front end stuff was £299 including VAT, so worst case scenario is...

    Anyone understand LPG?

You need to know what LPG system is installed to know how much it will cost to fix. My car had a Tartarini system installed when I got it and a new ECU for it was impossible to get as nobody makes them any more. I replaced the entire front-end system for £300 myself with no prior knowledge of...
