I have to say, whilst other vehicles erred on the very cautious side, with the amount of rain and spray the RR performed as if in dry conditions, never mind that I was shipping a new LED "side of a house" sized TV and the sons bloody expensive drum kit....brill!!

Bet you wish you had an "accident" with the drum kit by now, don't you

Guys..the proper way to refill gearbox, correct method and checking of same?

If you have the dipstick then obviously use that to refill. If not then you fill it at the plug on the gearbox until it starts to dribble out then start the engine, run through all the gears and fill again until the correct level.

The correct method of checking is with the gearbox cold, start the engine run through all the gears and then back to neutral and check the level.

Get yourself a pump of some kind as the oil has to go uphill into the filler hole.
Don't think you can get to it from above.

Check level with engine running (sure you meant that but to clarify)

Sounds like a candidate for the "How To" section.
If you have the time to do a few pictures and a write up i'm sure many would find it of value.
What do you think ??? :D:D:D
