I looked at OVER 25 Landys before I bought mine. I would NOT rush into it. Prices will have risen at this time of year as people look to get one for the winter snow. If you're not in a rush i'd look at loads and maybe wait till spring!
Got myself a nice square rubber front door mat from Sainsburys for £1.99 and cable tied it to my grill, landy gets up to temp MUCH quicker and the cab is toasty in no time!
A great investment.
Soft tops are made of a plasticky material these days so would be ok ish in sun, Ifor canopy is pretty big and heavy, not sure it'll pack down either.
I have a spare one but its no good to you in Devon!!
I have got a new rear door lock, I do not have the original bolts or plate that held original one on so wondered if anyone knows of the top of their head what size nuts and bolts I need?
I have realised the rubber seal that fits into the top of my side panel on one side is missing. It is the seal that goes between the side and the roof. Anyone know the part number or availability of such a thing?
I am guessing it is an L shape to fit the back too.
E bay turned up one...
I think the "newest" defender is the same since 2007. Apparantly there were issues with gearbox and other parts not strong enough for the transmission but this was ironed out after a couple of years. I'd go new as possible as wangle a super deal.
