Dave and his freelander

Hi, any1 suffering from excessive misting on the inside of windscreen, this is happening to my "98" freelander since the cold has kicked in. i know i should expect it but this is way too much and other members of my family's motors aint now-where near as bad,

also when trying to clear it with the blowers, the left windscreen blower is blowing at least twice as much as the right side blowers. this is extemely irritating as i cant go anywhere til ive sat with the engine running for about 10mins, wiping it by hand causes water marks and makes it even worse.

If any of youse had this problem and found a way dealing with it, i'd be grateful for advice......

i was gonna suggest the heater core but they usually show themselves by the mist getting worst when you rev it
 
give the screen a really good clean so no strekes in it then apply anti fog or what i use is foggy visor anti mist for ya crash helmet stays clear for weeks without the use of the air con

I'm fine mond,bin tellin flip flop bout the rave reviews gaylander got in papers today un how it knocks the socks off the slitty soft roaders , dont fink e wanted ta talk ,as he was sayin nuffink. . .;)

i thort i did reply! - bloody memory!!
sumone not to far from here told me that the X-trail came out on tops on one review. Just shows - yu cant trust any of them. I hope the new freebie is a good machine - it has always deserved betta. than landrover gave it. Maybe Ford will build the thing proper - but judging by the reviews the Ford 4x4 got - we will have to wait and see.
not sure i cud justify the price tho.
 
So long as its better than the new Disco..Still reckon that it looks like a transit from the arse end..Eyup Guys, hows life?

Back to the thread, my Xedi is probably the worst car for de-misting I've ever had.Only does half a job when the Air con's on, otherwise forget it.I just thought it was cos its a landy.....:p
 
At least you got air con mate, im trying to clear it with standard heating n drivers side blower only blowing half pressure compared to passenger side. its a nightmare. screen was clear this morning but only cuz it wasnt frosty
 
set the blowers to hot and turn on the AC,

sounds daft but it will defrost and remove the moisture PDQ.

The manual tells you to do this to defrost or demist.


At munis twenty everday at the minute I can vouch that it works.

Anyone else running on neat antifreeze yet

Now thats reet cold. . .how does the freelander cope?. . .:)
