So, what you saying, is it easy to buy n fit air-con then?

Not sure about the blower, but I had same problem with my 98 model back along.
On some of the early Gaylanders, the sound deadening padding, behind the trim panels in the boot area, was the wrong shape and covered the air outlet vent. This prevented proper air flow through the car, making de-misting slow.
Maybe a red herring, but worth a look.
