Freelanders are not called gaylanders. Only some closet queers refer to them as gaylanders to try and draw attention from their macho tractor wagons really being true gay vehicles.

Now why did the Village People singing YMCA come to mind then???

Actually this site could do with an organised How-to's for all models. There is so many useful tips in the archive of posts but, thanks to Buster, the Defender is the only model that has an organised archive of procedures. If such a forum could be developed then individuals could put up posts for admission.

Maybe I'll shut up. :D
Good idea Darmain.
Where should we put Freelander how-to’s? On the Freelander forum until further notice?

look in the Q's and A's - theres loads in there - and if yu sort by title, the hippoo stuff should mostly be together.

yu dont need several places, it just dilutes the info.

PLEEEZ tho - peeps posting in the Q's and A's section - PLEEEEZ put the model in the title.

could someone PM Accy and ask for a few more HDs to be added to the server in anticipation please
Should there be a massive increase in data? I would imagine its already on the server but lost in posts of old.

Ok. I've also done a few other things like changing the cam belts on my v6 Freelander. Writing that up at the moment. Looks like I may need to replace the alternator bearings soon. :( Will take a bit of time to get this sorted.

Thanks iana12.

I’ve already done the timing belt change on my v6. I bought the correct tools as it was easier. You don’t need the crankshaft pulley tool. There’s a flywheel locking pin available instead. This holds the crankshaft while you undo the crankshaft pulley bolt. I can appreciate some have done it without the tools. Personably I wouldn’t. It was the first timing belt change I’ve ever done. Won’t be able to finish by write-up until December, as I’m busy with other things. Took photo's at every stage step by step. :)

Sounds good

Get a 'how to' (when you get time) and post in Q&A section ;)

show the tratta boys a thing or two

The attitude can be pretty frustrating to be honest, Not everybody wants to run a Defender or Discovery on the daily. Freelander suits me fine, But as soon as you ask for advice the standard response is just 'sell your freelander'.

i think you are wrong, the more usual advise includes mention of matches and some flammable liquid
