Service history he lost when he bought it, he had it serviced when he got it but all i can tell you is what i have done to it.
Transmission behaves fine but i don't know anything as to whether it has been replaced or serviced
The mileage is around 110K

You know the title of this thread, this is the one to look out for :D

I was only going by my friends 2005 I think it is, something like 160K mikes he has done from new and when I asked what has gone wrong with it he said he thinks it’s had a set of brake disks or pads . The average Range Rover is probably on its 3rd set of everything by then. Nissan looks nice but the Range Rover for whatever the reason is a Mermaid for sure.

I can't remember how many years ago it was, but the BBC transmitter department (who still existed then) started to buy Nissan Patrols as Defenders came up for replacement. After a number of accidents due to the brakes fading in motorway driving, they reverted to LR products.

I understood at the time that Nissan stated that the Patrol was an industrial truck and unsuitable for motorway use. I assume they are different now.

that sounds like bollocks, brakes are brakes whichever make, jap stuff can be reliable but is plastic ugly

It wasn’t meant to be factual James just a light hearted comparison, he had it from new and main dealer serviced so I’m guessing standard things were changed as part of the service program but when I asked him what had gone wrong with it he did say all he could think of was the brakes so that is fact. Ask anyone who has had a Range Rover for 160k mikes if they can remember all that has gone wrong with it and I bet they couldn’t , that’s if there is anyone rich enough to own one that long. You can take your bollocks and **** off thank you

@Tillytomp if you are considering the one taking up space on Andy's drive I would like to say no matter the issues, you are unlikely to find a more honest description buying from an unknown seller. Most of us on here are enthusiasts of the marque, some of us are enthusiasts of the model. However, a few of us are actually in love with both/either. Andy for all his little peculiarities ( please may I have my Mess Dress back?) has become quite involved with his friend's bit on the side,,to the extent his own RR is becoming quite jealous.
Also as you may have noticed he is still doing bits and bobs on it, so each day it is becoming a better buy. Normally a vehicle for sale with issues, remains a vehicle for sale with the same issues.
In summary, it's worth some serious consideration.

Sorry been shooting, it’s up on blocks at the moment and the turbo is coming off at some point, wait and see how that goes as I would want to take you out in it if you came over. I need to talk to the lad who owns it to make sure he wants to let it go but I’m fairly certain he would

Just spoke to my mate, it’s up for grabs, have a look around at a few would be my advice and get a feel for them, this one I would say drives a lot tighter than my 04 petrol but mine is a lot quicker and quieter. I’ll try and whip the turbo off over the weekend.
