How times have changed, never had any hassle with cars registered to my company being used for the business including towing but it was a long time ago.

I think it depends on how much tax you want to pay and possibly how to make it VAT exempt.

The tax on company cars is pretty extreme except for things like vans. All started a long while ago when people were given cars as perks to avoid tax so naturally HMRC went for it. Cars stopped being perks but it doesn't help those that do 60k miles a year for their business. Class it as a van or similar though and I think you dodge the tax and possibly the VAT. I'd have to check with my cousin on the specifics; he did explain it all to me a long while ago.

True, company cars in my day were a good tax dodge :)
