CB aerial? Fit it on a bracket to the spare wheel carrier between the wheel and the door. Minds been there for years and never a problem. :)

never thought of doin that, sounds like a plan!! ive still got half the gutter mount here so il see if i can modify it somehow. how have you routed the coax? into the rear door and through the rubber bellow with the rest of the wiring or is there an easier route?

It just shuts in the door :) Never had a problem. It then goes down behind trim under carpet and up along side the centre console where the CB unit itself is mounted.

I went thru two gutter mounts before going this route......I must be a slow learner :)

think il learn from your mistakes aswell and follow that route :D my cb is mounted on the dash so may have to get some more coax to reach the boot. if the aerial goes behind the spare wheel i might be able to use car parks withouth bashing every hanging sign and light they have!! dong dong dong dong

Willing to share route info etc when i return though if anyone fancies doing the same. Info on lanes in the Alps is hard to find/time consuming to corrolate, but hopefully my report should be able to lead people to the right places.

+ we prefer to travel alone, sorry.
