today, i fitted the final version of my pcv breather filter. thanks to this neat little device, and other enhancements, my landrover series III has improved its fuel economy by 28%.

baseline fuel consumption was 15 litres per 100 kms.
new consumption is 10.5 litres per 100 kms.

also running 'water injection' and a 'fuel pre-heat' or fuel 'vapouriser'.

all home built.

an added bonus is more power.

emissions are reduced, carbon removed (blow-by has dropped) and that valve grind that was due, has been postponed..hopefully long term. lol

LOL, mine also got a treat, recce'd a few more lanes near Doncaster ready for the day trip in January. Found a couple of crackers too, hardly used, a little scratchy, a little muddy, but up and down and a bit twisty turny so not just a little bimble for a novice, but nowhere to get badly stuck or anywhere near dangerous. Nice. ;)

Fitted a 12V heater, mounted jerry cans at the front and mounted the hi-lift jack.

And helped my stepdad to fit the winch carrier/bull bar thing which he made on his RR - god damn it was heavy!
