painted the fuel tank wich i took off and cleaned yesday and finally managed 2 get that bloody drain plug out and drained the radiator picking up me new one on sat

Today in between the coughing fits, :dizzy: and having the shakes I managed to! go out and buy a tin of underseal and get 2 coats of it painted on me noo fuel tank.:biggrin1:

In between coats I went into the town centre bought 6 bolts & nuts for me tow hitch & me Sankey hitch what I've pikied. And a 9.5mm drill bit to fit the rivnuts for me snorkel. Cost me £20!! robbing bastids.:violent: Walked 2 miles to the local Landy garage and ordered a side repeater for the front wing, and then walked the remaining 3 miles home.
Had tea and then stripped the sankey hitch down & used a grinder with a wirebrush attachment to clean the paint off it, and sprayed the first few coats of paint on it.

Now I'm coughing me lungs up and dying.:violin: :violin: :violin:

Bloody Redhand's passed the lurgy onto me ...

So, in between coughing, shaking and puking slime/snot up, changed the drive belt. Nice, you might think, and so it was. Until I started the Disco up again and figured that it wasn't just the belt squealing and making grindy type noises ...

Bloody alternator's fecked. Well, it's giving good amps out at tickover, but the pulley can move 1/4" in any direction so I guess the bearings are shagg3d.

Anyone know if they're rebuildable? What part no's for alternator bearings for '96/'97 300 Tdi? I know nothing, but willing, and would prefer, to fix it myself ... ;)

At least it wasn't the waterpump ... :cheer2:
