Ah cleaned the rest of the grease from me hub, brake caliper, disc, stub axle, hub etc. Went and got new seals, gaskets, cv joint today, pick up the other cv joint, bronze bushes the morn and hopefully a couple of half shafts and bid on and won a heater box on ebay;)
 
Fixed alternator not giving output problem 20 my 2A.

Meanwhile stepdad fitted new wheels and tyres to his RR and added some umm...tape (don't ask because I don't have an answer) to the bull bar.

Checked fluids and looked at the airfilter.Thinking of swapping that.Took it for a drive.Clicking noise is gone which is nice(hopefully).Seemed good and started well considering its so cold
 
Got the tow bar from work to hitch up to the back of the disco and the front of the series 3.... IT WILL MOVE TOMORROW!
 
I took a small screwdriver to the rusty patches showing up around the roof gutter and ended up with a couple of small holes and lots of dead paint.

Treated it with hammerite rust cure and a top coat of Hammerite smooth. Hopefully will give me time to sort it properly when the weather warms up.

Does anyone know if the plastic strip is still available?
 
took mine fur a quick test drive (when ah sobered up) to check that me new cv, seals, bearings etc was ok. 'Thought' about doin' the other side, then decided a few beers were needed furst then fell asleep! Went to me brothers fur a few more beers and looked at the bus fur a bit. Will do the cv etc on the other side the morn;)
 
Looked at the damage where the bloke across the road had reversed in to it FFS!Not like its not nig enuff to see!Christ.Off to have a "word" with him now.
 
I went laning yesterday and decided I'd give the old girl a thorough cleaning. . . . 3 damned hours later my baby is gleaming. . . Just in time for me to get it filthy again on Sunday with some off roading. But for now a whiskey, Cheers and Happy New Year!! :D
