Ripped out the old rotting plywood, full length, over wheel arch storage box and built a smaller one out of slightly less rotten ply.

Just big enough to store the aux battery, jack, couple of straps and snatch block......feels loads bigger in the back now :)

Drove it to do a bit of shop fitting? Already done the shelves and fridges and what not.

First pic' is me on a ladder removing the fittings for the old sign.

Second pic' is the new sign in place.

Third pic' is my youngest being eaten by a shark, it must have been going at a hell of a pace when it hit the wall.

So if anyone likes fish in north Sheffield what used to be Manns on Hillsborough road is reopening under new ownership.

Fitted a hidden starter button, thought I'd fried the electrics half way through but turned out twas a dodgy switch......working nicely now.....though the starting proceedure is now so complicated that I may forget how in the morning

Ripped the broken bit of flexi off the end of my exhaust and replaced it from the silencer to the side with a proper bit of pipe.

Topped up gearbox and t/box.........I hate doing that.

Beginning to feel the long trip north might be possible :)

Went to billing aquadrome to see if there were a few mor bits to keep the Landy happy. Was very dissapointed though only a couple of stalls.

So went for a play a got it muddy!

fitted the ply lining to the otherside of the 110 but not before fitting a Methane extraction unit.

this is what I've done for insulation/soundproofing. 25mm Jablite & 10mm closed cell foam matting.

Front

Back

Also fitted a shelf across the top of the sides. put a stop bead on it and 2 lengths of elasticated cord to keep everything on the shelf. Will also close off the gap above the front screen when I'm sleeping in the back. Making it warmer and stopping it from getting light too early.

Fitted my new landyzone sticker not much else.

I gave the landy a little makeover to white (from olive green). So that I may take it abroad. I have still got to do the rear crossmember, bumperettes and the steel wheels.

Must have done it in the peaks .. I knew 'something' was wrong when I got onto the motorway following TC .. just different noises from the rear, but it was all driving straight, good brakes absolutely no issues at all so carried on. Then this morning took son to have braces fitted and on the way home something went BANG and it all went a bit pete tong .. brakes felt spongy, wanted to turn left, so I though feckit, that's another wheel bearing, so 'cos I was literally a few hundred yards away I crawled it home with no drama, then checked all round to find the spring out of it's socket! It can't, surely, have happened on a road? Not even driving 'enthusiastically', just bimbling along ...

Ah well, time to fit longer springs I guess ... until I can afford a decent, full setup I have a set of +2" (old) springs from Redhand that'll do.

Anyone got a decent set of +2" or longer shocks for a '97 300Tdi Disco going (extremely) cheaply??? ;)
