Took the timing cover off ready to fit the new cloyes duplex timing set tomorrow afternoon.

Going to give the front cover a bit of a clean whilst I'm at it.

Think the old chain is a bit past it, fair bit of slack in it. Will compare with new FireWire when I've got it off.

been busy the last few days rebuilding a 300tdi lump well, freshening it up a bit should i say.
today has been new headgasket, timing belt and tensioners aswell as fixing the engine stand and changing the front crank seal. tommorow will be new stat, w/pump, rear crank seal and the start of stripping down the landy ready to take its new heart.... and probably fitting some new brake pads for the wifes landy.

Weldings a little scruffy on the threaded top hats but as its going on my own vehicle I'm not arsed
