Took the Salisbury axle out from under the 110

Took me rock sliders off ready for sale

Took front wing off

Half way to scrapping it now, another day or two on the fiddly bits and she's ready to go

Seems a shame to scrap such a good chassis, only needs two out riggers but I don't have the time or the energy :)

Seems a shame to scrap such a good chassis, only needs two out riggers but I don't have the time or the energy :)

Give it to me then I desperately need a noo chassis mines fooked .
 
Just checked my fuel consumption figures over the last few weeks and my 200tdi, 110 seems to be using more fuel. I check by filling the tank and zeroing the mileometer.
I was getting 28 mpg, I now seem to be down to 23mpg. Seems to have dropped since I put a snorkel on it. I did give the air filter a blast with a high pressure air pipe.
Think I might need to change the diesel filter and air filter to see if that makes any difference. Anyone have any other thoughts?
 
get a new ign switch BB.

Not sure if tis the switch or the wire tbh. I'll run it will the present set up fer a bit and see if tis reliable. If it's all good I'll wire it to a momentary switch out of sight for a little extra security ;)
 
Took the Anti-Roll bars off, don't need 'em now it's passed the MOT.

Set the tracking, it now goes straight, never did for years! Bit the bullet to do it 'cos I'd replaced a couple of ball joints the get it passed and had obviously not put them back the same as the old ones came out .. or the old ones were so far gone they'd 'set' in the wrong position .. :) Steering is also ultra responsive now, no play (well, minimal) from steering wheel to road wheels, it must have been worsening for ages without me really noticing!

Also fettled loads of little things, sorted the 'kit', put the bed in the back and messed everything about to make it all fit in and under!

bet it's the switch,prob worn out through to many years of usage.:D

Today I have

- had a hole welded up in the x-member.
- refitted the roll bar (was a ball ache)
- painted x-member
- filled holes in the bonnet where i took the spare off it
- painted part of the chassis
- put my door tops back on
- put my canvas back on
- proofed the canvas and ran out of fabsil with the rear part of the roof left to do
- brought some more fabsil but couldnt be arsed to do it
-put it back in the garage after going for a country lane rag round west sussex

phew
 
Made a roof lining to go with the rest of my 'soundproofing' efforts :) 10mm closed cell foam, acoustic matting and a large amount of swearing :D

Continued with ma "mini revamp" of the interior.

Would love to meet the designer of the rear bench seats and the stupoiiiddd!!! 2 screws at the arse end. Does na help having big hands.:mad:

Hour and a half on four screws.

Painted more metal , more new rivits to replace old ,£1.32 in old change and a few hair clips dug out. Need new internal seal for Rear windows.

Quite happy with the way its going and tommrrow best order ma decat fae Famous Four!
 
started lining the back, in 9mm WBP Plywood. Will eventually get carpets added but that'll be a while yet.

Before lined with 10mm foam & 25mm Jablite insulation.
