Ooooo cool. I have finished mine. Gave it a touch of paint but thinking seriously a bout a vinyl urban camo kit for it. Wild look hehe. All the roof lining is coming out and using closed cell foam to line it completely before upholstering it.

Finally sorted temp gauge issue which really weighs on mind doesn't it?!???

Mines now orange and black looks sweet :D My temp gauge sits at the top of the white bar and never goes any higher. You got a fan fitted? Which sender did you end up getting?

Mine was just in the red. I have a complete new vdo system. Sender and gauge. Gauge just fits perfectly in the hole of the standard gauge.

There's a link on the temp resistor thread. I had to get an adapter as the sender is smaller but all in cost less than £30. You can't buy a defender 200tdi one for that.

Yours sounds mad max hehe.

This is the look I am thinking of

Will have a look and maybe get one of those. I'll definitely be seen coming, will get some pics up later in the week if I get time. That should look good done properly ;)

Got the oil, air and fuel filters replaced, took out the front passenger seat and headlining. Got the washer jets working and taking it for mot tomorrow. Its been two years since it was last mot'd but its only done 150 miles since then.
Got a s/h headlining to go in once i foam the roof.

Finally fitted reducing silicone piece so airbox in as it should be. Had to seal the top of the airbox but otherwise happy enough. No air leaks from lower end that I have sorted so its just the gasket as it come out the wing to do. Last owner had used bluetak!!!!!

for the final coat im using a shults based hammerite product - leaves a rubbery finnish wich is quite good
the 1st coat there is a red paint like product.. but i forget what its called

Okay cheers, I will have a look around and see what I can find :)

Fitted my Raptor dash and changed my bucket seats for a set of MGF seats, well impressed with seats only down side my wife says she can now reach the pedals comfortably and wants to have a go driving it:eek::eek:

Got new windscreen supplied and fitted £60. Top of dash to fit back on and light bar switch then I'm done. Ready for Wales on Friday :D

Replaced a flexible brake hose and one of the copper brake lines, so now after being up on axle stands for the last three weeks (I hate waiting for parts!) the brakes are back in one piece, it now has new wheel cylinders all round, flexi hoses and some of the copper lines, need to fill the brake lines, bleed the system and adjust the snail cams tomorrow after work.
