Fitted my fuel filter fuel pump and
Hoses to the trialer need to do up the pump securing bolt but seems job is a goodun!

Will hopefully tomorro solder ( nothing worse than a dodgy Luca terminal intermittent connection on a fuel pump) new wires and run the earth directly to the battery and the fuel pump to the switch no joints all soldered!
Need to secure the fuel line along top of chassis rail every 100mm ready for engine fitment!!
ill be doing the same job this week, got myself a bosh 4fp pump
 
trying to break in to my 97 P38 disconnected the battery didnt realise the key was in the ignition, all doors shut wanted something from the boot wouldnt open so reconnected the battery and the central locking fired locked the lot and no spare key and my local stealer wants €250 for a new key. anyone got any ideas without smashing windows?

ok, get a wire coat hanger, bend it straight with a lil hook in the end and have a fish down the window seal near the lock try n pull 1 of the lock pins up or might even need pushing down

failing that get a crow bar and prise open the top corner of the door till u can get a skinny arm down the side to reach the lock/handle

and if that down work, get a brick lol

Almost right wedge door with soft wood or plastic wedge slide coat hanger , with sharp right angle hook on to sliding door lock At top of door card ??
 
Change the oil, oil filter and air filter, still waiting for the fuel filter to come in the post.

Oil filter was a pig to get of, took every ounce of pressure I could put on the filter removal tool in that tight spot. Made a hole in the side of it!

First time changing its filters since ive had it, made a wee bit of a mess ALL over the floor, but all done now :)

Fitted a bleed plug to the thermostat, bled her .... so far heater's are toasty and all seem's well. Once she's fully cooled I'll go and check the coolant level.
 
Applied 7 litres of Waxoyl to the newly welded chassis and repainted the rear cross member. Also tidied up the paintwork. Tomorrow I'll be fitting a new reverse light, removing the hi-lift off the back and re-mounting on the rear bulkhead in preparation for a swing away wheel carrier.
 
Renewed the fuel filter on the disco, it was feeling a little sluggish and its been running veg for the last 3000 miles so probably was about time for a new one
 
Took the Mrs to work, so far heaters still toasty and no overheating ... hopefully the coolant system is now sorted...
 
didnt do it today but metal welded my rear diff (had a very small hole in it) fitted a heater box, and watched craigyb do my clutch master cylinder, thanks craig lol
