After removing all of the seats, stripped out the dry carpet only to find the soaking wet soundproof! Binned the whole lot!!
Treated the surface rust and coated the whole floor with a plasticized paint for 3 layers... Stinks a bit but but looks OK. No more worries with the standing water (as long as no where else leaks)...
Removed the EGR and inlet hose. Seriously gunked up hose so it was a good job it all went in the bin!

Not too bad for 2 days work - seen as i've NEVER worked on a car\engine before... Feeling smug now that it all works again and looks good...

Serious Beers tonight now!!!

spent 4 hours tryin to get the brake lights workin.....eventually ran a new wire from the switch to the lights...fitted me fire extinguisher again and fitted an internal light...which just went pop ffs :( and flushed out me radiator and drunk beer so not a total loss !

Finally got round to fitting me Rock Sliders (Thanks Ian Notts ? Axletwister 4x4).
Got one problem though - had to grind off one of the bulkhead bolts. Don't suppose anybody's got one I can have? It's off the road till I can replace it.

Top left of the pic...
