you dont know the half of it

I'm sure I don't and no comparison intended - other than I'm cursing mine at the moment.

It has spider's webs from the underneath to the driveway while I'm catching the bus to work :(

Just because of one bolt that won't undo :(

which nut ?

which nut ?

Trying to change the power steering pump.

One of the bolts holding the bracket on is ridiculously tight.

First attempts with socket (the sort with many points) slipped and rounded the corners a little.
Next attempts with a different socket (the sort with hexagon shape - only fits one way) gripped much better - then slipped rounding off a bit more. Noticed tonight as I packed tools away that the socket had actually split - must have been a cheap one, so may try that type again if I buy another.

I have a set of 'metrinch' spanner - which press on the flats not the corners - and this grips brilliantly, but as it's a 10mm bolt it's only a little spanner and I just can't shift it. Tried to make all sorts of 'extensions' to get more leverage, but gave up when it went dark.

I actually got the old pump out by unfastening it from the bracket and wiggling it out, but I can't get the new one back in that way as it has a slightly different shape and just catches :(

Done bugger all tae mine the past few days! Only went and tore some stomach muscles and knackered me shoulder the other other day:mad:
Bin climbin' the walls (so tae speak) as ah can't do bugger all!!! Ah was hopin' tae stick the fulcrum with me new ball joint on the A-frame and stick the tow plate ah took off the white bus on me green one but looks like ah'll have tae wait a wee bit!;)

Finished all the little bits off on the Series 3, roof is now bolted down so no more drafts. Then moved onto me Series 2a and have fitted the engine and gearbox in after much hassle as whoever had patched the crossmember hadnt taken into account that the extra thickness would mean the bellhousing would be sat on it.....bloody amatuers:D:D:D

Switched air filter for a K&N:), and had a crack at changing rear shocks, but top bolt so solid didn't get very far:mad:, gonna have to get neighbours air gun on them me thinks, but just ordered a couple of spare bolts just in case:eek: Stealer wanted nearly £8 each and had to buy a pack of 5! Who needs 5???? Quick search online was much more satisfactory:)

Fitted power steering pump - at last.

Now trying to decide whether to bother refitting the viscous fan!!!???!!!
