Changed drag link joint cos it had a bit of play in it and boot was split. Still had death wobble on nearside wheel. Took wafer thin shim out of swivel pin and problem solved. :)
Spoke to soon.
Worked all day in garden. Decided to go for a drive and walk with the Mrs. mrs driving and we got 1/4 mile out of the village and it started leaping around like an elephant having a seizure. :( Too late to start stripping it down tonight, so it'll have to sit on the drive for another week. Another shim out next weekend! I'm presuming not enough pre-load and you get wheel wobble too much pre-load and steering goes stiff? Is that what you are playing between when setting it?

I didn't ask if he was called Neil but...

It's parked at home in disgust.
Problem with the UJ part numbers supplied.
They Will exchange it for free though.
Pity they've been fitted & don't know which is which.

What are you doing with these UJ's ?? Cup OD and width , add nipples how can the get it wrong?

Cheers

Found out not the correct prop so there's 1/2 the problem.

@neilly 1 of the UJ has a long nipple the other stubby. This is the only difference I can see unless I strip them down.(that's a job for another day)

Got complete new prop which is now fitted.

welded back part of the drivers inner door the bit that holds the plastic door catch in place it had rusted and snapped, now I just have to learn how to alter the striker as the door pops as you driving along. scared the crap out of me 1st time

Drove the 90 130 miles today, doing a bit of sneaky tree work on someone else's territory! Performed faultlessly and felt better after giving it bit of a run rather than the usual 10 miles here, 10 miles there journeys!
