Drove the Landy to YRM Metal Solutions to pick up a new rear tub floor, top hats, support struts and barn door threshold. Then on to Spanner Monkeys for advice, get my car booked in for chassis treatment and to pick up some WAR underbody protection to pre-treat all the new bits & pieces before fitting. Both were a really nice bunch of people & very knowledgeable. Learnt a lot.
+1 I've been to YRM a few times and they are a lovely family.

Reversing light has stopped working without pulling on gear lever. Tried to see if the switch would tighten but its as tight as it will go. Its been fine since I changed the switch a couple of years ago. I seem to remember not using the washer. The clutch is going to need changing in the not too distant future so that might be the time to look at the selector yoke to see if a groove has been worn in it.

I recently found out I can lock my Disco 2 with my keyfob, hold the lock button for 2 seconds and the headlights come on to light up my way for safety.
Who'd a thunk it?

I just spent an hour pressing my key on my 90 to get the lights to stay on.......then I read the manual, apparently an 87 90 does not have courtesy lights.................:(:(

Cheers

Funny that, an '89 90 doesn't either ... Mind, it also doesn't need a key to open it or start it, does that count as new-fangled keyless entry?

A couple of years ago Ione of the wires to the drivers door speaker had broken . I replaced it with a new one and all was fine till last week when the other wire went. I replaced with a twin cable which I should have done originally. I found another problem now with the drivers seat.

Thought about some light fettling to re-attach my driver's door internal handle that I pulled off the other day , then it rained so its a tomorrow job.
