Took it for a spin. Ordered a new clock, insured and taxed it. Discovered some space underneath where the prop/vcu should be. But not necessarily in that order.

Fitted the replacement injection pump and shes running again.

Fired up first time once primed :)

Now I need to tweak it and get some power back.

refitted ns frnt hub.
replaced ns headlight
replaced headlight bulbs.
adjusted ns rear wheel bearing.
found bellhousing bolts missing (3 out of 4)
pressure washed under side.
found more bodges on replacement gearbox fixing.

finally found the issue with my transfer box selection. the grub screw had come loose. so locktighted it in and now have a like new transfer selection. then fabricated some bullbars with light protectors onto my winch bumper. still needs some tidying up but they will do the job. also managed to replace to my rear diff seal as it was leaking quite badly

Took back cover off the transfer box to try and find the source of the clunk. By the looks of things its going to be a gearbox and transfer box out job. Need to source a decent second hand set of boxes.

Defender, 1992. Plan to find a second hand set, give them the once over and sort any problems then take a few days off work and take current ones out and fit new ones.

Splines on that main shaft are all worn and there appears to be quite abit of play between that cog that you can remove after you've removed the pto cover and the other gears, as well as the wear on the splines.
